D.S. & Durga "Rama Won't You Please Come Home" Candle, 198gr.
This candle is inspired by Diwali, one of the great festivals of India and South Asia. During the festival, families gather to clean the house, pray, and light candles to welcome the god Rama and Sita back from their exile in the forest. The air is filled with celebration and the aromas of food, flowers, and perfumes that are ubiquitous in India. Diwali candles, called diyas, are typically oil- or wax-based and housed in small clay lamps.
The candle recalls the tree blossoms and tropical woods of the exiled forest, with a heart of opulent white flowers: tuberose and gardenia. The idea is to bring it into the celebration, but also to leave a joyful memory throughout the year, or to echo the festive atmosphere of the Indian subcontinent.
