For Fall/Winter 2026, the collaboration between MM6 Maison Margiela and Salomon takes experimentation into different territory: formal footwear. The Crossderby brings together instantly recognisable elements through unexpected proportions and details. A glossy black leather upper meets a sculpted sole, while technical lacing disrupts the familiarity of the classic design.
The design reveals its identity through its details. The asymmetrical toe line, a signature of the collaboration, introduces a subtle variation to the silhouette. The quickLACE™ system replaces traditional laces with a closure that adjusts in a single pull. Beneath the upper, the Mud contaGRIP® outsole, defined by deep, pronounced lugs, gives visible expression to Salomon’s outdoor heritage.
The Derby finds a new stride: glossy leather, asymmetrical lines and a sole that brings the language of the outdoors into the contemporary wardrobe.
