D.S. & Durga "'85 Diesel" Candle 198gr.
A candle with a bold, leathery character, created as a tribute to a childhood memory of D.S.'s. In the 1980s, his parents drove Toyotas and Hondas, cars considered very cool. But around the corner, there was an Englishwoman who drove the neighborhood children to school in a 1985 Mercedes 300TD. This candle pays homage to that legend and attempts to recreate the warm, slightly dangerous atmosphere inside the car.
The scent evokes saffron-tanned leather seats and clothes as thick as oriental rugs. The aroma is lacquered, deep, and chestnut-colored, tinged with whiffs of freshly lit fuel. The result is a warm, sensual, and slightly brutal blend that captures the rugged, iconic aesthetic of those years.
